A section of a busy roadway in Northern Westchester has been reopened to traffic after a transformer fire. 

On Thursday, Oct. 27, at around 11:40 a.m., New Castle Police announced that a section of North Bedford Road (Route 117) in Chappaqua between Kittle Road and Petersville Road was closed due to the fire. 

The road reopened as of around 3:30 p.m.
